california is an actual dream, so I hope you all get to explore this dreamland at least once in your life :) Below are places I highly recommend..
things to do:
*hermosa beach- talk about the perfect place to unwind, surf, play sand volleyball, and paddle board !! bordered by manhattan beach, another great beach stop. while in either places, make sure you stop by Paradise Bowls for lunch. truly the only way to get the whole experience :)
*GO FOR A WALK- This one may sound a little obvious or silly, but for real. One of my favorite parts about visiting California is waking up and starting my day off with a walk outside. The California air is amazing and the flowers bloom like no other. Wherever you are staying, I highly suggest starting your day off this way. Walk to the coffee shop nearby, to the ocean, on the beach, a known Cali trail, or simply around the neighborhood.
*malibu "surfrider" beach- The Surfrider Beach is located right next to Malibu pier and is home of some of the best surfing in California. What better place to grab food for a picnic with live surfing entertainment??
eat + drink:
*the coffee bean & tea leaf- THE BEST COFFEE I HAVE EVER HAD. I will most likely never step foot in a Starbucks again after finding out coffee this good exists. To top it off, my order was cheaper here than Starbucks and other local coffee shops I generally go to. Perfect coffee stop every morning with pastry choices as well.
*urth caffe- Stopped here for lunch due to many suggesting I go. I was pleasantly surprised by the large menu. Do not be scared by the large line they almost always have, it goes fast and the food doesn't take too long to come out. Everything was amazing and I can not wait to go back to try more. PS, there gluten free bread would have you believing It was regular.
*nobu- Food? TO DIE FOR. Views? TO DIE FOR. Service? TO DIE FOR. Truly felt like I was living in a movie this entire dining experience and not sure I will ever come to Malibu without stopping here again. Highly suggest for a nice, dinner night out.
*malibu farm-Cause what could be better than a farm to table restaurant? Hands down one of my favorite restaurants I have EVER been to. Whether it was the quality food, ocean view, or couch seating that got me, I was in my personal heaven the whole time. Can not go wrong with anything on the menu or their specialty desserts;)
