completely despite the fact that I am bias because I was born in Oregon, it also happens to be one of the prettiest places on this earth. trees as big as buildings, waterfalls, eateries, beaches, and not to mention OXYGEN. the freshest air. lol. you must experience it.

where to stay:

ngl. I have not stayed in any hotels I am in love with quite yet. I personally LOVE the Airbnb/ VRBO route when it comes to staying in OR. whether you prefer a cabin or a floating house on the water, there are plenty of options!

I recently stayed here, a floating house, and loved waking up on the water and driving a short drive to coffee rush every morning :)

food & drink:

*deschutes brewery- located in the pearl district in downtown portland. not lying when I say I make it a priority to stop here every time we come to Oregon. classic for its fun atmosphere, delicious menu, and sports bar for those of you over 21. also, if you're allergic to gluten don't worry... they have the best gluten free bread/buns.

*jim and patty's coffee- I AM HAPPY AS I TYPE THIS!! voted the best overall Portland coffee house in 2017 + 2018, its no wonder!! a funky coffeeshop with delish coffee and matcha! they also had the yummiest breakfast selections, along with GF pastries to chose from. I ordered an egg, spinach, and sausage omelet off the menu and they were so accommodating to what I was in the mood for! went here a few mornings in a row...

things to do:

*SPEND TIME OUTSIDE- too many rivers and lakes to chose from! rent boats, paddle boards, and jet skis!!

*shopping- I love to stock up my wardrobe for the year while we are visiting.

- The Pearl District: home to my favorite Free People to ever exist, Lulu Lemon, and more. I love to stop by these shops after a meal at Deschutes Brewery (mentioned above).

- North West 23rd Street: Home to an abundant of cute lil boutique like shops... along with that, they also have chain shops, such as the best Papyrus you'll EVER go to. 23rd street could definitely be a half day activity with shopping and a stop at my favorite pizza shops listed under the food category!

*cannon Beach- only about an hour away from Portland, and makes for the absolute perfect day trip/ stay. the beach is beautiful and a fun place to spend time flying kites and running around. make sure you do not miss the iconic Haystack Rock that reaches almost 300ft into the sky. aside from the beach, the shops and food places are also what makes cannon beach an all around favorite attraction.

cannon beach favorite food stops:

- bills tavern and brewhouse

dessert:

- bruce's candy kitchen

- cannon beach bakery

*kruger's farm on sauvie Island (summer)- kruger's farm is the most BEAUTIFUL lil place to pick fresh Oregon strawberries. there season usually begins in June so make sure you don't miss it ;)

happy traveling!!
